Description: WGRZ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Buffalo, N.Y., is looking for a Network/Systems Administrator. This individual will be responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of various technologies managed by the IT department. As such, they will be responsible for the administration of the network infrastructure including: desktop PCs, servers, network equipment and software applications, in addition to assessing and identifying appropriate solutions to be integrated into the IT systems operation. Additional duties and responsibilities to include: develop, maintain and monitor procedures for all server backups; monitor, plan and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs; make recommendations for new equipment and services and work with vendors to complete procurement and implementation; perform on-site and remote technical support; assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources; create and maintain excellent technical documentation; provide 24-hour emergency on-call support.

Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5 years experience with Windows 2000/2003 Server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory, a strong background in Microsoft Outlook with support of MS Exchange Server, a solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with Cisco routers & switches, internet firewalls and wireless technology, possess basic Windows scripting skills, experience setting up and managing database systems, and have advanced hardware and software troubleshooting skills. Must be able work within the time sensitive broadcast television environment, possess strong customer service skills and be a team player with the ability to work independently. Candidates should have a BS degree in computer-related field. Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) and either Security+ or A+ Certification is preferred.
