| Description: | Duties and Responsibilities * Outline with the Regional Program Director and the SIP department the programming strategy for WXNY. * Execute all programming strategies for each of WXNY’s dayparts as approved by Regional Program Director. * Schedule and send daily music log to the WXNY On-air studio * Responsible for creating and implementing promos, drops, sweepers, liners and copies for station image and promotions. * Assure compliance of all applicable FCC regulations. * Perform special projects as required to meet the station’s goals and increase ratings. * Supervise and organize auditorium music tests. * Work directly with sales and coordinate meetings to maximize all sales opportunities. * Manage, coordinate and communicate with record label companies, artist management regarding requested promotions, interviews, events, etc. Minimum Qualifications for Consideration * 5+ years radio broadcast experience * 3-5 years in similar position as Program Director * Bi-lingual - Must be Spanish proficient. * Knowledge of the Tropical, Urban, and Pop music formats * PC proficient * Good interpersonal skills * Ability to manage major on air personalities Experience and Education * High School Diploma * Previous radio broadcasting experience * Knowledge of studio equipment, production and capabilities * College degree preferred |
