Description: Opportunity for an aspiring individual to work in a fast paced corporate HR environment and actively participate in various facets of human resources management. As a member of the Human Resources team, this position is responsible for providing HR support and coordination in the day to day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The position directly supports the VP of Human Resources and will handle generalist as well as benefits responsibilities. The ideal candidate is eager to build upon his/her HR skills and knowledge and learn best practices in HR processes, employee relations, payroll and benefits.

Specific responsibilities include (but are limited to):
* Provide guidance and advice to managers and supervisors on HR policies and procedures.
* Resolve routine benefits related issues and answering questions regarding benefits programs.
* Assist with open enrollment meetings and related processes, new hire orientation and benefits administration
* Process all new and on-going online enrollment and change forms (Medical, Life, 403 (b), etc.).
* Continually improve processes related to working with third party administrators for COBRA and FSA accounts
* Manage 403b and 457 b plans including enrollment, reporting and file transmission, employee match eligibility, contact with Fidelity on 5500 reporting, non-discrimination testing, and billing reconciliation.
* Maintain HR intranet site to ensure ongoing updates of policy, benefits and other HR information
* Process educational assistance reimbursements
* Manage retiree COBRA, Workers Compensation, Short and Long Term disability and FMLA processing
* Maintain files in accordance with record retention schedules.
* Stay up to date on all HR and benefit regulatory changes
* Serve as backup to Senior HR Coordinator.

To qualify, candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, excellent organizational and time management skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision and take initiative on assigned tasks. In addition, candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to plan, organize and facilitate daily work flow as well as the ability to analyze problems, and to develop and implement plans for problem resolution. Strong quantitative and analytical skills required. Proficiency with word and advanced excel skills will be required. Working knowledge of Lawson and or UltiPro HRIS, and reporting software with HR and benefits administration experience strongly preferred.
